Hello! Welcome to the Guided Learning blog. My name is Maria. I created Guided Learning to share our creative learning space and how we follow our interests. I took this photo one morning before the kids left for school. They were each immersed in making or writing. Given the space and time to pursue their interest, I have found that the kids learn naturally.
Our space changes to reflect our interests. Currently the sewing machine is out, along with modeling clay, felt, watercolors and foam board. My 13-year-old was inspired by the show Stranger Things and used modeling clay to create the shadow monster. He likes Claytoon modeling clay and uses clay support sticks in his creations.
I hope you enjoy getting a peek into our space and follow along as we explore materials and spend time making.
